The Hanns Seidel Foundation was founded in 1967. It’s named after the former CSU chairman and Bavarian Minister President Hanns Seidel.
The Foundation fosters democratic and civic education for adults, international developmental cooperation and scholarships for students.
For educational purposes and also for conventions, symposiums and conferences, the Hanns Seidel Foundation runs the Conference Centre Munich as well as the educational centres Wildbad Kreuth and the Banz Monastery, which can also be rented for conventions and conferences.
For more information on the work and goals of the Hanns Seidel Foundation, please visit the foundation’s website at www.hss.de.
The Foundation I. und W. Tausend for politics, science and social market economy GmbH (SIWT) was founded in 1993 by the Hanns Seidel Foundation as the sole shareholder.
The endowment comes from the legacy of Ingeborg Tausend and Wilhelmine Tausend. The SIWT is the owner of the Conference Center Munich. Just as the Hanns Seidel Foundation, the SIWT pursues exclusively and directly charitable purposes.
High above the valley of the river Main, in the lovely city of Bad Staffelstein, lies the Banz Monastery. Visiting the Banz Monastery means leaving the rush of everyday life behind. Peace and quiet are part of your stay.
For meetings and conferences, we can offer you 12 seminar rooms for 15 to 200 guests. The largest room can accommodate up to 400 people when seated in rows.
