Data Privacy

1 Subject Matter
The Conference Centre Munich is pleased that you are visiting our website and with your interest in our business and the services we provide. We take the protection of your personal data seriously and want you to feel secure when visiting our website. We only use your personal data in accordance with legal regulations, especially those determined by the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telephone Service Data Protection Act (TDDSG). The Conference Centre Munich website may contain links to the websites of other providers for which this data privacy declaration does not apply.

2 Collection, Processing and Use of Data

2.1 Server Log Files
When visiting our website, by default, our web servers store the date and duration of your visit, the individual pages you visit and the information provided by your browser and operating system in a so-called server log file. Your IP-address is not stored, so that no connection to your person can be made. The Conference Centre Munich uses this anonymized data to determine user preferences and to enable us to optimize our websites.

2.2 Forms
We provide various online forms on our website to facilitate communication between us. The forms have been developed to serve the needs of our users. All forms have one thing in common: we only ask for such information as is absolutely necessary to be able to deal with your inquiry. The forms have “data privacy intelligence”. For example, we do not ask for your personal address if you only want to have information by E-mail. Any other information which is not essential, but which we are interested in, is only given optionally. In this case, you decide whether and how much information you want to provide. If you do not wish to enter optional data, we respect your decision. In no way does this interfere with the service we provide to you. In the following, we will show you which information is required, processed and used in the respective forms.

2.3 Cookies
A cookie is a data element which a website can send to your browser in order to store it there. Even though not all cookies infringe on data protection, many internet users do not approve of their use and see them as a breach of privacy. We respect our visitors’ concerns and do not use cookies at all.

3 Data Transfer to Third Parties
The information we gather is exclusively for internal use for the intended purpose for which it was given. The data is not transferred or given to third parties.

4 Advertising and User Profiles
The data we gather is not used for advertising purposes. Furthermore, we do not create user profiles. We merely evaluate the anonymized log files (see No. 2.1. above).

5 Data Protection
The protection of the data you provide is very important to us. Any transmittal of personal information to our website is done via the Secure Socket Layer with up to 128 bit. SSL is currently the highest security standard on the internet. When you provide data on our website and click on the submit button, the information is encrypted and sent to us, so that you are safe from intervention by third parties.

6 Processing and Deletion of Data
We only store your data for as long as necessary for the intended purpose.

7 Information on Changes
These statements on data protection are valid as of August 23, 2002. There are no previous versions.
